MEDITATION ON CONTACT WITH SOUL (WITH THE HIGHER "I")

This meditation heals, develops intuition, protects and guides, helps to make the right choices.

The first stage of meditation is leveling of four lower bodies: physical, etheric, astral and mental.

First get ready for meditation. Spine straight, your whole body relaxed. Breathe normal for several minutes.

Now look in your mind at your physical body and imagine it is a healthy, strong, powerful, beautiful body. It is a great tool to serve the spiritual forces.

Then proceed on a more higher level. This is level of volatile energy. Imagine your etheric body, occupying the entire capacity of physical body and protrudes about 10 inches. Visualize it as a bunch of energy. It has light color, in which energy is constantly moving in a sparkling golden flows (color of your visualization will depend on your energy).

Next step is imagine top chakra. It is a white and gold thousand-petalled lotus. Then imagine that your etheric body has a border of gold thread woven in the form of triangles. This bound holds etheric body inside physical body. Thread which surrounds etheric body is called a thread of life.

If the net has "holes" or the boundary is weak, then etheric body loses its energy in these spots.

Then look at the net and if you find the weak areas. Use your imagination to restore its wholeness of it. This stage of meditation helps to heal physical body from diseases.

After this go the level of astral energy. This level is even higher level. Imagine your astral body in the form of a clear egg of astral energy (similar to water). You are inside of this egg. The boundary of this body is approximately at arm's length. Your astral body is clean, quiet and calm as water in the alpine lake on a quiet day. It reflects supreme love and supreme joy.

Now go to the more subtle energy level. Level of mental energy. Imagine your mental aura in a shape of a much larger egg, which consists of gold and colored light. Imagine your mental body clean and transparent. And imagine that it positive thoughts swim in it. These thoughts were brought there by Soul.

Then draw from his head straight up the golden ray of light. Somewhere in that light imagine your soul, your Higher Self in a form of shining sun or in the form as glowing golden 12-petal roses. Then imagine that your soul, your higher self, Solar Angel — pours its golden rays on all of your body, take turns washing, cleaning and filling them with energy.

This Sing three times "OM".

First time sing "OM" softly, imagining that the golden rays of the Soul pass through the mental body. Second time sing it louder, imagining that the rays of the Soul pass through the astral body. And third time even louder, imagining that the golden rays of the Soul pass through the air and the physical body.

Then devote yourself to Soul, Higher Self, and say the following words:

"Let my soul, the nature of which is Love and Wisdom, direct and guide me through my actions and words." Repeat this three times.

Then imagine what would happen if you would live as a soul. Then imagine what would have been life on Earth, if all people think, feel and act as a soul, as their Higher Self. Visualize this beautiful picture for a little while.

At this stage of meditation, you can become an open channel for letting power of light in your Higher Self.

Then recite new world prayer “ Great Invocation”

"Let the Forces of Light bring illumination to mankind.

Let the Spirit of Peace be spread abroad.

May Men of Goodwill everywhere meet in a spirit of cooperation.

Let Power attend the efforts of the Great Ones."

Then sound the Sacred Word, the O.M. three times. Also imagine that everything what is mentioned in the prayer is happening on Earth.

“ Great Invocation” is a new worlds prayer and it is mentioned in all books by Alice Bailey.

This meditation can be performed separately as an independent daily meditation or you can do it also as an introductory part in the beginning of your regular spiritual practices.

THE GREAT INVOCATION

From the point of Light within the Mind of God

Let light stream forth into the minds of men.

Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God

Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.

May Christ return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known

Let purpose guide the little wills of men.

The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the race of men

Let the Plan of Love and Light work out

And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
